3 Tips For A Successful Weight Loss Goal
Hey what's up? It's Kevin Duy.
How are you doing? I just wanted to talk to you today about three simple tips that you can use for a successful weight loss plan If you have a weight-loss plan or goal going into 2017, like so many of us do.
I'm just going to share with you some things I've learned over the years helping people get great results with weight loss and just their health and nutrition overall.
Key #1: PREPARE.
Prepare yourself mentally that you're going to be changing a habit.
Changing a habit is hard.
But if you go into it with the right mindset and are mentally prepared and excited about what you're doing.
Think about the long-term goal that you're going to accomplish.
Envision what you're going to be getting.
Prepare yourself mentally for that.
How it's going to be different.
You have to be stronger than your cravings and your challenges and things like that.
Stronger than your bad habits that got you to where you are right now, to where you want to change something.
Also, prepare your menu.
Prepare food wise.
Something like this.
these little food containers are awesome.
We use these when we batch cook and meal prep.
Meal prepping and batch cooking, if you're not familiar with it, is just basically preparing a lot of food at once.
Then putting them into these different containers and putting them in your fridge or freezer.
That way you can have them all week.
Then every night you get home, you've got a healthy meal in your refrigerator.
You can pop in the microwave and have for dinner.
That way you're not at the mercy of your crazy schedule with the kids and things like that where you order pizza or go through a drive-thru things like that.
So being prepare is a great thing.
Also, you're going to want some support.
#2: SUPPORT Surround yourself with other people who have like-minded goals so you can feed off of each other.
You can trade recipes and just talk about different things that work.
Because different things work for different people.
You may hear one little tip from somebody that's in your support group, that you're like, "Oh my gosh.
Why didn't I think of that before? That works works great for me.
" So SUPPORT is a great thing.
Just getting around people who have the same goal as you.
Also just a PLAN, in general is huge.
Tip #3: PLAN to follow How many times have you personally, or you've heard somebody else say, "You know what? Starting on Monday it's on! I'm eating healthy.
I'm going to start doing it.
" That's awesome, but it may only last a couple days.
Because if you don't really have a solid plan, or road map in place, it's really tough.
It's tough to just say.
well it's easy to say I'm gonna start eating healthy tomorrow, or next week, whatever.
But then you know once you get into your daily flow of life and different things come up and you don't have that base to go back to, that plan where you can just get refocused and just say, "OK, here's what I'm going to do next.
Here's what I'm doing for lunch.
Here's what I'm doing for dinner.
" You need that plan.
This plan that we've been doing for the last 3-4 years, and helping other people with is called the 24-Day Challenge.
It's the best thing that I've seen as far as something that's gonna to get sustainable results.
You're going to get results on the 24-Day Challenge.
You're also going to have a plan going forward.
It's a great way to just reengage yourself.
So that even after three months down the road, if you go through a couple days, or you know, a weekend out of town or something and you just enjoy some different foods and different things.
You know, you kind of get off-track.
It's great to have a plan to say, "Starting on Monday, I'm gonna get back on my plan and follow it.
" This plan is awesome and actually comes with a daily guidebook.
– Speaking of a plan.
You're just going to go through and check off the different things.
It tells you when to take different supplements.
When to eat your meals.
Different things like that.
it's a great, awesome plan.
I'm not goint to get into what it all is about.
